Please Help! I Am currently living in Pawtucket, RI with my abusive (verbal,emotional,mental, some physical, and some sexual) boyfriend. Back in March 2009, I lived with my mom, but we were effected by the flood. I lost everything I had, was forced to move in with my boyfriend (while my family, threw me to the curb). Since then, my life has been turned upside down. Lost my job in August, have nobody to help me and I refuse to be in a shelter due to I have been there before & will not go back unless that is my last option. I need a place to live, a job, counseling (I have a history of ADD/ADHD, depression that is SEVERLY out of control - trying to get an appt. now seeing I FINALLY have insurance), maybe a case of bi-polar (need evaluation). Everything is getting to be too much for me and I can't seem to find any help for people like me. I need a helping hand so to say, all my life I never had a relationship with my mom even tho we lived together. I was never taught life skills, independence, etc and now I was forced into the world by myself with no help and stuck in a place/relationship I do not want to be in anymore. I was offered to go to my sisters home whom lives in Mass but again I will not have a job nor do I have any money for the way out there as well as money to have for needs (food, clothing, etc) until i get a job. What is a HUD Home?
A HUD home is a 1 to 4 unit residential property acquired by HUD as a result of a foreclosure action on an FHA-insured mortgage. HUD becomes the property owner and offers it for sale to recover the loss on the foreclosure claim.

Who can buy a HUD Home?
Almost anyone! If you have the cash or can qualify for a loan (subject to certain restrictions) you may buy a HUD Home. HUD Homes are initially offered to owner-occupant purchasers (people who are buying the home as their primary residence). Following the priority period for owner occupants, unsold properties are available to all buyers, including investors.

If you are an evacuee displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Rita or Wilma, HUD could sell a HUD home at a discount to you!

How are HUD Homes sold?
All properties available for purchase by the public are offered for sale at Internet listing sites maintained by management companies under contract to HUD. Any real estate broker registered with HUD may submit an offer and contract to purchase on your behalf. HUD pays the real estate broker's commission, if included in the contract.

Are there any special programs?
Properties in designated areas are available at a reduced sales price to law enforcement officers, teachers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, nonprofits and local governments. Read more about these Good Neighbor Initiatives.

Should I get a home inspection?
We encourage you to get an inspection after your offer is accepted. All HUD Homes are sold AS-IS, without warranty. HUD will not make repairs nor pay to correct any problems.

What about financing?
Although HUD does not offer financing directly, some of our homes qualify for FHA-insured loans. Shop around for a lender to find the best loan terms. Find out how an FHA loan can help you.

Hi I need help paying mine and my daughters medical bills as well as to help pay our cars off.  As with everyone my husband lost 4% of his pay.  A fews months ago I battle with extremely bad migraines, {2-3 a week} with that many a week I did not make it to work as much as I should have to pay the bills.  My doctor ordered MRI, CatScan, bloodwork, I went to Specialist after Specialist they still did not figure out why I had them so often.  However, for what ever reason I am now getting once every 2 months.  But after all the my youngest daughter got this horrible cough,{Like we could only count seconds between cough, hard dry cough}.  She was not allowed to go to school she was out of school from 10/01/2009 till the end of the year, a teacher came to our house.  She had all kinds of testing as well CatScans, PFT to measure lung compassited.  She had GI Scopes, allergey testing, plus a couple other test.  Our is insurance is good but we have to pay the first $2000.00, so my family owes $4000.00 to hospital and doctors.  She was evenally diagnosed with Allergies our home is very old.  So you
